Breakout

Price moving decisively beyond a known support or resistance level.

A breakout is real evidence of new buying or selling pressure — but the first move alone doesn't prove it's genuine. A full candle closing beyond the level, held on the higher timeframe, is stronger evidence than a single wick poking through.
